We have a proven value proposition and technology, a base platform of revenues on which to build, a growing network of potential OEM and strategic partners, and our own proprietary IP. We are now ready to scale up our operations and manufacturing in order to meet current and anticipated demand. To lead this important function at Loop Energy, we are now looking to hire an experienced operations leader for the role of VP Operations.
This role will be based at our global HQ in Burnaby, BC – approximately 20 minutes from downtown Vancouver. We welcome interest from all qualified candidates, and will help with relocation as required.
The Role
As VP Operations, you will be responsible for the entire order-to-delivery process including manufacturing and production assembly, sub-contract manufacturing as required, supply chain, inventory management, logistics, facilities, quality control, and achievement of ISO certification. In this results-driven role, you will be responsible to develop operations initiatives directly tied to company growth, establish operating protocols and implement processes to facilitate accelerated production and delivery to a global and fast-growing market. You will lead a 20-plus team coming in, with anticipated headcount growth in the future.
Candidate Profile
To succeed in this role, you will be a driven, resilient, and adaptable operations leader who has led the manufacturing and related operations for complex, multi-component technology products serving a global, industrial customer base. You will bring best practices in terms of operational leadership, strategy, and implementation from a fully commercialized, multi-site environment, and at the same time will bring innovative and resourceful thinking to this early-stage and rapidly scaling venture. You will be a collaborative team player and an authentic, mentoring leader of teams.
Specific Experience
- Likely 20+ years of relevant industry experience; anticipated 5-10 years in a senior manufacturing operations management role
- Experience implementing and maintaining world-class quality management and operations systems, preferably involving independent third-party certification such as ISO 9001 or IATF 16949.
- Automotive sector/ecosystem experience is ideal, but an environment involving complex assembly and multi-component industrial technology production is also relevant
- Led operations teams of 50+ with fully commercialized manufacturing setup across multiple manufacturing sites
- Multinational experience in supply sourcing, and liaising/negotiating with contract manufacturers
- Involvement in technology development commercialization and scale-up (could be at product level within a larger organization)
- International supply chain (and ideally manufacturing) exposure
